Going to that 1940's dance or attending one of the many 1940's Wartime weekends staged at heritage railways? But have nothing to wear. Are you tired of hiring modern uniforms billed as 1940's by your local fancy dress shop then feeling out of place at an event or dance? Then look no further.

We at G.I. Hire are pleased to offer for hire, genuine World War 2 U.S. Army Class A uniforms, both Officers and Enlisted mens. We also have a few genuine womens WAC uniforms. All uniforms are correctly badged, in most cases with original WW2 Insignia, if not then the best reproductions patches have been used. You will get an information leaflet explaining all the insignia on the uniform i.e. rank and unit.

You will get 5 pieces of uniform: Ike Jacket or Tunic, Trousers, Shirt, Tie and Hat. All you supply is brown shoes & oh yes --underwear.

During World War II, the popular image of General Eisenhower depicts him wearing a well tailored, short-waisted, smart-looking jacket, designated officially as the "Wool Field Jacket, M-1944." To the troops it was known as the ETO (European Theater of Operations) Jacket, or even more popularly as the "Ike Jacket."
